Chairman of the Social Fund of Russia Sergey Chirkov visited the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), where he held several meetings and visited the regional branch of the Fund.
The visit began with a stop at the Saur-Mogila memorial complex, a symbol of heroism and resilience of the Donbas people. Together with Alexander Shatov, Head of the Shakhtersk district of the DPR, Sergey Chirkov laid a wreath at the monument and honored the fallen with a moment of silence.
The head of the Social Fund then traveled to a temporary accommodation center for internally displaced persons, where he delivered household appliances donated and other humanitarian aid to the residents.
In the republic's capital, Sergey Chirkov, accompanied by Regional Branch Manager Galina Sagaidakova, visited the Fund's client service office, inspected the progress of major renovations, and spoke with staff and visitors. The Chairman also visited children at the Republican Specialized Infant Home. He met with the administration, and presented gifts to the institution, including office equipment and supplies for the children.
The trip concluded with a working meeting between the head of the Social Fund and specialists from the regional branch of the Social Fund, attended by Larisa Tolstykina, Deputy Chairperson of the DPR Government, and Marina Solovarova, Head of the DPR branch of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation. The meeting addressed key issues across all areas of activity, including digitalization of processes, expansion of interdepartmental cooperation, and payments to veterans in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory Day.
"As of today, all Fund services are available to residents of the Donetsk People's Republic. Our mission is not only to provide payments and services but to make them as targeted and convenient as possible for recipients. To achieve this, it is essential that more organizations join the interdepartmental interaction system," emphasized Sergey Chirkov.
