Social Fund transferred Q1 Russian pensions to Latvia and Estonia

The Social Fund has paid Russian pensions for the first quarter of 2026 under treaties signed with Latvia and Estonia. The funds have been remitted to the competent foreign authorities for subsequent crediting to the retirees' accounts. The Social Fund also plans to transfer Q1 Russian pensions to recipients in Lithuania and Bulgaria in March.

Lithuania, for its part, has also provided funds the payment of pensions to recipients in Russia, and the Social Fund has already transferred the corresponding amounts to the retirees' accounts. The funding for pensions Under the Estonian payroll sheets is expected shortly.

As per the rules in force, Social Fund makes quarterly payments to foreign recipients. The funds in foreign currencies are transmitted to retirees' personal bank accounts through foreign pension authorities.

Retirees living abroad can now also make use of the payment procedure provided for by Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 493 dated March 28, 2023, declaring that at the individual's request, the Social Fund may remit their pension to a RUB account either in Russia or abroad.

The retiree or their representative have to submit a pension delivery application to the Social Fund. This can also be done via the Gosuslugi Portal, among other methods. The application shall specify the details of an account in a credit institution located in Russia.
