Socially significant functions of the Social Fund include:
- The assignment and payment of mandatory insurance and state pensions;
- The assignment and payment of state benefits, mandatory social insurance benefits, and other types of benefits;
- The organization of individual (personified) records in the mandatory pension insurance and mandatory social insurance systems;
- The organization of investment of pension savings;
- The actuarial assessment of the financial status of the mandatory pension insurance and mandatory social insurance systems, long-term development planning;
- The provision of state guarantees, social protection (support) and social services to certain categories of citizens, including state social assistance;
- The organization of medical, social and professional rehabilitation of insured persons.
