Pension System

In accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation, veterans, persons with disabilities (including children with disabilities), former underage prisoners of Nazi concentration camps, and persons affected by radiation resulting from radiation accidents and nuclear tests are entitled to monthly benefits payable by the Social Fund of Russia.

Monthly benefits are also provided to citizens of the Russian Federation within the following categories:

• Those awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, Hero of the Russian Federation, or decorated with the Order of Glory of three degrees (the full Order of Glory);
• Family members of deceased (killed) Heroes or full holders of the Order of Glory (widow (widower), parents, children under 18, children over 18 who developed a disability before reaching the age of 18, and children under 23 studying full-time);
• Those awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor, Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation, or the Order of Labor Glory of three degrees (the full Order of Labor Glory).

Citizens entitled to monthly benefits also have the right to state social assistance in the form of a package of social services (PSS). Additionally, certain categories of citizens among veterans and persons with war-related disabilities are entitled to a supplement to their monthly benefits in accordance with Decrees of the President of the Russian Federation No. 363 dated March 30, 2005, and No. 887 dated August 1, 2005. As of today, over 16.5 million citizens receive monthly benefits and supplements to monthly benefits via the bodies of the Social Fund of the Russian Federation.
