From now on, citizens residing in any constituent territory of Russia can file these applications on the Russian Pension Fund website.
After having filed the application, a citizen shall visit the territorial office of the Russian Pension Fund to where the application has been sent within five days and shall present personal storage documents. The lists of documents required for the assignment of a monthly social benefit, the issue of a maternity capital certificate and the use of maternity capital funds are posted in relevant sections of the PFR website. While visiting PFR, a citizen shall carry an identification document and a mandatory pension security certificate (the ‘green card’ with a SNILS number). The Russian Pension Fund recommends that citizens make an appointment for a convenient time by means of the online appointment service available on the PFR website.
The service of filing an application for the issue of a maternity capital certificate and the use of maternity capital funds is designed for families with two children or more. The service of filing an application for the assignment of a monthly social benefit is designed for federal benefit holders. As a rule, a monthly social benefit is assigned together with a disability pension. This service is particularly useful for citizens with acknowledged disabilities who apply to PFR for the assignment of a pension. They are simultaneously granted the status of ‘a federal benefit holder’ and have a monthly social benefit assigned. An application for the assignment of a pension and a choice of the pension delivery way can also be filed on the PFR website.
