The new benefit for children of families with low income, ordered by the president, has been assigned to parents of 2.8 million children aged from eight to 17. The families have received over 50 billion rubles in total.
As a rule, benefit applications are processed within ten working days. If the benefit is denied, the family is notified within a day. If the benefit is approved, the money is transferred to the family account within five working days.
Applications for the benefit could be filed on the public services portal, and at the client offices of the PFR and multifunctional centers of public services. In Moscow, the benefit is assigned by social security bodies, so the applications are filed on the Mos.ru web portal.
Please note that the benefit is assigned upon a comprehensive assessment of the family’s needs whenever an average per capita income of the family is smaller than the regional per capita subsistence minimum, the family assets do not exceeded the limit, and parents have a confirmed income or a valid reason for its absence.
The income of parents is also essential for the benefit size, which may reach 50%, 75% or 100% of the regional child subsistence minimum.
