The Pension Fund has issued over 15.2 million statements on the personal account balance at the request of Russian citizens since the beginning of this year. The absolute majority of applications were filed online via personal accounts on the PFR website or on the public services portal – their number reached 14.2 million, or 93%. Another one million statements were issued by PFR client services and multifunctional centers. The statements present current information about the period of insurance, the number of pension coefficients, and pension contributions paid by employers. They also contain information about pension savings, whenever they are available, and the fund where these savings are invested.
The statements allow persons estimate their pension entitlements in advance and take measures towards their enlargement. They also help check the correctness and fullness of information regarding the work record and salary, which comes from employers, to timely correct or augment the information in case there are any mistakes. Control of information from the personal account makes the person sure of the correctness of the assigned pension.
Please note that Russians started to receive notices of their future pension this year. The Pension Fund is sending the notices proactively to men older than 45 and women older than 40. The notices are sent to personal accounts on the public services portal and contain information about the available pension coefficients, work record and the estimated amount of pensions based on the current parameters. The proactive notices are sent once in every three years. People who have no accounts on the public services portal may receive future pension notices at any convenient time at client services of the Pension Fund.
