The Pension Fund has been assigning maternity capital proactively, without applications from parents, since mid-April 2020. Over 387,000 certificates were issued in this manner in 2022, upon births of the first and second children.
The Pension Fund issues electronic certificates and sends them to parents’ account on the PFR website or on the public services portal. It will be possible to apply for spending the funds and to monitor the balance via the account. Therefore, families may spend the maternity capital after the child is born without applying to client services for the certificate.
Please note that the assignment of maternity capital and the spending of maternity capital funds consistent with one’s choice have been proactive since 2021. The certificate assignment period has been reduced to five working days, while the period for the assignment of funds is limited to ten working days.
