Acting Board Chairman of the Russian Pension Fund Sergey Chirkov has sent greetings to the participants and guests of the First Moscow International Festival of Pensioners that took place in the capital last weekend.
The readiness for transformation, the openness, and the ability to discuss significant ideas and successful practices on such reputable platforms as this festival are a token of the successful development of the pension system, the PFR head said in his greetings. “I wish all festival participants to do energetic and interesting work, meet with like-minded people and potential partners, elaborate practical recommendations, and achieve success. My best wishes,” Chirkov said.
The festival presented successful practices in the support for senior citizens and addressed the strengthening of relations between pensioners from various countries. The Moscow branch of the Union of Pensioners, the Russian Pension Fund, and the Moscow government served as the main organizers of the event.
Festival guests were familiarized with the basics of financial literacy for pensioners, ways of protecting themselves from fraud, and technological innovations that help elderly people in their daily life. Guests could have a health check, familiarize themselves with the wellness routine, and attend active longevity master classes.
Festival guests were particularly interested in the PFR consultation center, where they could meet with specialists from the Moscow branch. Everyone wishing could ask questions about pensions and benefits and receive PFR services. The consultation center was operated by volunteers and the Youth Council of the PFR branch.
