Parents in the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, as well as in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, will be able to receive maternity capital for children born since 2007. Families can apply for maternity capital funds following the rules that were in effect at the time of their child's birth.
As a reminder, maternity capital is a support measure provided under the "Demography" national project.
Maternity capital has been granted for second (or subsequent) children since 2007. Starting in 2020, the program was extended to include first-born children.
Maternity capital funds can be used to improve housing conditions, pay for children's education, provide monthly payments for children under the age of 3, access social rehabilitation services for children with disabilities, and contribute to the mother's funded pension.
The amount of maternity capital is indexed annually in line with inflation.
The amount of maternity capital for second children born before 2020 and for first-born children is RUB 586,900.
Upon the birth of a second child, a family that previously received maternity capital for their first child will receive an additional RUB 188,600.
For second children born after 2020, the maternity capital amount is RUB 775,600.
