The Social Fund has approved the payment of a unified benefit for 255,000 children in the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics, as well as the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Additionally, 6,000 pregnant women residing in the new Russian regions are receiving funds.
Most citizens apply for the benefit through the State Services portal, which accounts for 73% of all applications. The remaining families applied for benefits at Social Fund branches in the new constituent entities and multifunctional centers.
Residents of the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics, as well as the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions may also apply for the benefit outside their home regions. However, both the children and the parent submitting the application should be Russian citizens.
As a reminder, the unified benefit is granted to families with incomes below the subsistence minimum per child under the age of 17. Depending on the family's income, the benefit amount is 50%, 75%, or 100% of the regional subsistence minimum for children. For women who register with medical services early in pregnancy, the benefit amounts to 50%, 75%, or 100% of the regional subsistence minimum for the working-age population.
