The Social Fund's branch in the Donetsk People's Republic has handed over keys to new Lada Granta vehicles to residents of the region injured at work.
This is the first time specialized vehicles have been issued in the republic; 8 individuals from various cities received the cars, which are medically necessary. Providing transportation is part of their medical, social, and professional rehabilitation.
The vehicles were factory-adapted to accommodate the individual physical needs of the recipients. The gas, brake, and clutch controls are duplicated and mounted directly on the steering wheel. Manual controls make mobility easier for people with disabilities and enable them to lead more active lives.
In addition to providing vehicles, the Social Fund in the Donetsk Republic finances medical, social, and professional rehabilitation for those injured at work. This includes prosthetics, health resort treatment, and retraining. Injured workers also receive technical rehabilitation equipment from the Fund when needed.
