The Fund is proactively informing citizens about their prospective future pension amounts. The respective notices are sent to men over the age of 45 and women over the age of 40. After that, a notice is sent every 3 years.
The Social Fund informs Russians on their insured employment record duration and pension coefficients, as well as an approximate pension amount calculated based on those values. In addition to the insurance pension data, the notices also specify the amounts of retirement savings.
The main goal of these proactive notices is to make people aware beforehand of how their future pension is being calculated and take corrective steps if necessary. The proactive notices were launched in 2022; by now, their total number has reached 70 million.
Among other things, pension notification help people make sure their employers inform authorities about their relevant employment periods and, in case of any information gaps, ask their previous employer to forward any relevant info to the Social Fund.
On top of proactive pension notifications, the Social Fund also informs citizens on other benefits and services available to them in case of various life events. For example, if a child is born, or upon reaching a certain age, in case of disability or legal guardianship. Each of those events entitles a person to various benefits which the Fund notifies them of
