With November holidays approaching, the Social Fund will pay all child allowances that would normally be due at the start of the month, ahead of time. On November 1, for instance, parents will get the following October benefits:
- The unified allowance for children under 17 and pregnant women.
- The monthly allowance for non-working parents of children under 18 months.
- The monthly allowance for the first child under 3.
- The monthly allowance for children of conscripted servicemen.
Payments will be made ahead of time to families who opted for cashless bank transfers as the mode of payment. Those who want their benefits delivered by mail will have their payments on or before November 25, depending on the Russian Post offices schedule in their regions.
Working parents entitled to the monthly allowance for children under 18 months will also get their benefits ahead of time in November. The payments are usually made on the 8th, but that day is a Saturday next month, so the money will arrive a day earlier, on the 7th.
Families receiving monthly maternity capital payments for children under 3, will receive their payments as usual, on November 5, the first business day after the holidays.
Remember that in order to make payments more convenient for parents, the Social Fund disburses most of the child allowances on the same day. All who opted to receive their benefit as cashless transfers, get their payments for the preceding month on the 3rd. If the payment date falls on a holiday or a weekend, the Fund makes an early payment. For parents receiving their benefits by mail, deliveries take place from the 3rd to the 25th day of the month, depending on the specific schedule of their post office.
Please note that some regions pay their own benefits to families with children, as per regional laws. The social welfare department are in charge of those benefits. They have their own payment schedules which may differ from the Social Fund's schedule.
