With November holidays approaching, some Russian retirees will receive their pensions next month ahead of time. The pre-holiday payment will come early to those who opted to receive their pensions via banks; post offices will follow their normal payment schedule.
Pensions will be credited to bank cards as early as November 1 for those who normally receive them on November 3 or 4. Starting November 5, the standard bank pension delivery schedule will resume.
All types of pensions will be paid early, including insurance, social, contributory, age and disability related. If the Social Fund pays other benefits together with the pension, those benefits will also arrive ahead of time. The process is automated, so retirees do not have to apply anywhere to receive their payments.
Those who opted to receive their pensions via the Russian Post, will do so on their usual dates. Post workers will start pension deliveries on November 3, along with post office cashier's desks, which retirees are also welcome to get their pensions from. Post deliveries will last till November 25. In some rural settlement, they may start as soon as November 1.
