This year, the supplement amounts to nearly RUB 3,000 for each family member who is unable to work and dependent on the retiree. That includes minor children, spouses who are unable to work, parents, as well as grand- or great-grandchildren if they are left without parents. Supplement on full-time students can be received until they reach the age of 23.
The Social Fund pays an extra fixed amount to each retiree who has family members dependent on them. This year, the supplement amounted to RUB 8,907.70. Retirees get another third of that amount, i.e. RUB 2,969.23 for each extra dependent. The maximum supplement is capped at three dependents, or RUB 17,815.39/month.
In order to qualify for the supplement, a retiree must submit an application and proof that a family member in question is dependent on them, to the Social Fund office.
