Sergey Chirkov: About 17 million people got their pensions and benefits early ahead of November holidays

On Saturday, the Social Fund of Russia paid pensions and benefits due on the November holidays ahead of time. About 17 million people in total are to receive those payments, including over 9 million retirees, over 45,000 people owed incident insurance payments, about 7,9 million people entitled to unified child allowance and other family benefits.

According to Chairman of the Social Fund, all documents required to deliver the payments were prepared and handed over to credit institutions and post offices on time. Regional offices control disbursements to the citizens' private accounts in credit institutions.

"Russian retirees got their November pensions on their bank cards ahead of time. Payments were made to those who normally receive their money on the 3rd or the 4th day of the month. Starting November 5, the standard bank pension delivery schedule will resume," Mr. Chirkov says.

He added that all types of pensions, including insurance, social and contributory plans, age or disability related, will be paid early. The process is automated, so retirees do not have to apply anywhere to receive their payments. Those who receive their pensions or child benefits through the Russian Post, will get them from postal workers or cash desks on November 3 – 25.

"On November 1, we also made payments to families with children: the unified allowance for children under 17, the allowance for children under 18 months and the allowance for the first child under 3. Pregnant women entitled for the unified allowance and the families of conscripted servicemen got their benefits as well," adds Mr. Chirkov.
