Since the start of 2025, the Social Fund has paid pregnancy and childbirth benefits to 603,000 women on maternity leave. In total, those payments amounted to over RUB 145 billion since the start of the year.
The benefit amount is based on the woman's average income for two years preceding her pregnancy and childbirth. The insurance benefit is also provided on adoption of a child under three months.
In 2026, the maximum 140 days long maternity leave payment will amount to RUB 955,836.
