The agreement between the Social Fund and the regional Government was signed today during a meeting between Sergey Chirkov, Chairman of the Social Fund, and Governor Dmitry Mahonin in Perm. The document both reaffirms the established working practices and lays a solid foundation for a long-term partnership.
"The agreement is the logical next step in developing our interactions with the region. It switches the joint work to the plane of specific, measurable tasks focused on the well-being of the people. We are combining resources and expertise to ensure that the Fund's services are as accessible and clear as possible," Mr. Chirkov said during the signing ceremony.
Governor Makhonin added that the Social Fund of Russia is the region's trusted partner. "Nearly a million residents of the Kama region receive social benefits through it, including our dear veterans, families with children and retirees. The Social Fund staff members do everything to ensure that services are provided as quickly and conveniently as possible. Our goal is to pool resources of the Social Fund and the regional authorities; to work together on expanding the range of digital services in the area of social payouts and benefits. To carry out outreach work so that people know about their benefit entitlements" the head of the region emphasized.
The agreements between the Fund and the regional authorities cover a number of social policy areas in Perm Territory, including expanding the range of digital services for applying for social payments, benefits and guarantees. A special emphasis is placed on information transparency and awareness work so that the residents of the territory can fully exercise their rights.
Under the agreement, the Social Fund and the Government of the Perm Territory will also continue to build up an effective support system for servicemen participating special military operation and their families.
Since the start of 2025, the Social Fund branch in the region paid over RUB 245.5 billion in pensions and social benefits. Nearly RUB 30 billion was spent on government support for families with children, and over RUB 7 billion went toward maternity capital. The region pays the unified allowance to 250,000 children.
This year, the local Social Fund office spent over RUB 1 billion to provide disabled people with technical means of rehabilitation. Residents of the Perm Territory were able to purchase 1.2 million products using electronic certificates.
