During the visit, the Fund Chairman signed a cooperation agreement with Governor Dmitry Mahonin. It reaffirmed the interactions between the Fund and the regional government across a number of areas and also expanded cooperation on pension and social security-related issues. On top of that, the agreement opens up extra opportunities for new social projects.
Sergey Chirkov opened a flagship office of the Social Fund in Perm, which will serve as a platform for introducing improved service delivery standards. The key feature of flagship offices is their focus on digital services. At least a third of the service windows here have been converted into self-service areas with guest computers, where clients can access services with staff consultants' support.
Sergey Chirkov also met with special military operation veterans in the Kama region. They discussed prosthetics, availability of healthcare services, pensions and social benefits, as well as issues related to securing the disability status. Mr. Chirkov pointed out that the staff of the Fund and its rehabilitation centers keep in constant contact with veterans in order to provide them with the most up-to-date information on the benefits they are entitled to and accept service requests. During the meeting, the head of the Social Fund presented one of the heroes of the special military operation with an electronic certificate for a bionic prosthesis worth RUB 4 million.
Since the start of the year, veterans of the special military operation have been able to receive treatment at 12 rehabilitation centers controlled by the Social Fund. The centers' staff provide personalized support to veterans in the course of their treatment and develop personalized recovery programs based on their medical conditions and injuries. Rehabilitation at the Social Fund facilities lasts on average 21 to 23 days, the resort treatment duration can be as long as 21 days.
All Social Fund client offices can refer veterans to rehabilitation centers, regardless of their actual place of residence. Most multifunctional centers also provide that service. In addition, there is an option to submit an electronic application on the Gosuslugi Portal. Veterans are welcome at 12 of the Social Fund's multidisciplinary rehabilitation facilities located across five federal districts.
Sergey Chirkov also held a meeting with the management of the Perm local office of the Social Fund, discussed work plans and took part in the Fir Tree of Wishes" New Year charity event for children.
