Families to receive child allowance and payouts in advance ahead of New Year

With New Year holidays approaching, the Social Fund will pay all child allowances that would normally be due in early January, before the end of December. Families will get the following December payments on or before December 30:

  • The unified allowance for children under 17 and pregnant women.
  • The monthly allowance for non-working parents of children under 18 months.
  • The monthly allowance for the first child under 3.
  • The monthly allowance for children of conscripted servicemen.

Families receiving payments through bank transfers will get their benefits by December 30. Those who want their benefits delivered by mail will have their payments on before January 25, depending on the Russian Post offices schedule in their regions.

Families will also get other child allowances by December 30, such as monthly maternity capital payments for children under 3, as well as the monthly allowance for children under 18 months for parents on parental leave.

Remember that for your convenience, most child allowances for the previous month arrive via banks on the 3rd day of each month, while the monthly maternity capital payments are delivered on the 5th day of each month. If the payment date falls on a holiday or a weekend, the Fund makes an early payment. For parents receiving their benefits by mail, deliveries take place from the 3rd to the 25th day of the month, depending on the specific schedule of their post office.

Please note that some regions pay their own benefits to families with children, as per regional laws. The social welfare department are in charge of those benefits. They have their own payment schedules which may differ from the Social Fund's schedule.
