The Social Fund of Russia has promptly assigned the first payouts to the relatives of those killed in the terrorist attack on the village of Khorly in Kherson Region on New Year's Eve. 7 loss of breadwinner pensions have been granted as of now.
The effort in all support areas is ongoing. The lists of injured are being clarified in order to generate electronic sick leaves. Funeral allowances will be paid as quickly as possible to the loved ones and relatives of the deceased who handled their burials.
The Fund's special focus is on cases requiring a tailored approach. For instance, when it comes to the family where a single mother of five minor children died as a result of the tragedy, the Fund has already prepared all documents for assigning loss of breadwinner pensions. The children's legal guardian has to be assigned to receive the payments. The Fund's staff are working together with guardianship and trusteeship authorities and stand ready to promptly transfer the eligible funds immediately after all necessary legal procedures are finalized.
The effort to assign all eligible payouts to the victims and the families of the deceased continues apace.
As a reminder, a special working group operates within the Social Fund to coordinate assistance during emergencies. For all inquiries, please call the hotline of the Fund branch in Kherson Region.
