The Social Fund will automatically increase all assigned payouts to be adjusted next month and remit the already adjusted amounts. Russians won't need to petition anyone or submit any applications. According to the draft resolution of the Russian Government, the adjustment will be 5.6% up from February 1.
The February adjustment concerns, first of all, disabled individuals, combat veterans, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and other Russians entitled to federal benefits. In addition to their pensions, these groups receive the so-called monthly cash allowance, which, like many other benefits, will grow 5.6% in February.
Maternity capital will be adjusted at the same rate. The largest increase awaits parents who are yet to use it: for them, the amount will grow by more than RUB 38,000 and will stand at nearly RUB 729,000. If a higher maternity capital for the second child had been issued and no funds from the certificate were spent, the amount will grow by RUB 51,000, reaching RUB 963,000. For parents who have kept an partial balance on the certificate, its remainder will also be adjusted in February.
On top of maternity capital, several other family allowances will also be increased. In particular, the Social Fund will adjust the monthly allowance for non-working parents of children under 18 months and the lump sum payment on the birth or adoption of a child. Starting February, it will stand at RUB 28,500. For families adopting a disabled child or a child over 8, the lump sum benefit will exceed RUB 217,000. The same amount is due to people who adopt siblings.
Along with welfare benefits, insurance payouts due to employees who sustained a workplace injury or an occupational disease will also be adjusted in February. The maximum lump sum payout for such cases will grow to RUB 163,600. The maximum sick leave allowance after an industrial incident or occupational disease will stand at RUB 503,000. The maximum compensation for the loss of working capacity caused by injury or illness will amount to RUB 125,800/month.
The cash compensation for the social services package will also be adjusted in February. By default, the package is provided in kind in the form of free medicines and healthcare products, health resort vouchers, or free travel on suburban commuter trains. If the recipient so wishes, they can receive it in monetary form, fully or in part. In the new month, that compensation will grow to RUB 1,800. All recipients will be paid the adjusted amounts automatically.
