Social Fund joined the For Our Heroes national campaign

Timed to coincide with the Defender of the Fatherland Day, the campaign is focused on the heroes of the past and the present: fighters of the special military operation, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and generally everyone who has dedicated their lives to the country's defense.

Even before the campaign officially launched, the youth councils of the Social Fund branches had held a series of memorial and charity events. One of them was Flowers at the Obelisk: the ceremonial laying of flowers at monuments commemorating heroes of the Great Patriotic War and heroic first responders. The Social Fund's volunteers also met SMO servicemen in the course of the Conversation with a Hero initiative and organized humanitarian aid collection drives for the SMO zone.

For the Letter to a Soldier initiative, the Fund's staff members and their children sent letters with warm wishes to frontline fighters. We also hosted masterclasses on making camouflage nets and bunker candles, sent personalized greetings for SMO servicemen and their families, organized museum visits and photo exhibitions featuring portraits and stories of the Fund's employees' family members who participated in the Great Patriotic War.

In total, the Fund hosted over 120 different events for the For Our Heroes campaign. Starting today, as the campaign kicks off across the country, activists from the Social Fund's Communication Centers for Seniors launched a social media flash mob that lets the younger generations learn about those who used to be heroes for the elderly people.

The nation-wide campaign will last through the upcoming weekend dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day, ending on February 24. In that time, other events under the campaign's umbrella will take place at the Social Fund's branches.
