Due to the upcoming May holidays, some Russian retirees will receive their May pensions ahead of schedule. Pensions will arrive earlier for those who opted to receive them via banks. Post office deliveries will follow their regular schedule.
By April 30, retirees who usually receive their pensions through banks between the 1st and 4th day of the month will receive their May pensions.
All types of pensions will be paid early, including insurance, social, contributory, old age and disability related. No applications are necessary for early payment: pensions will be credited automatically. If the Social Fund pays other benefits together with the pension, those benefits will also arrive ahead of time.
Starting May 5, the standard bank pension delivery schedule will resume.
Retirees who opted to receive their pensions via the Russian Post, will do so on their usual dates in May.
Postal workers will start home deliveries on May 2–3, along with post office cashier's desks, which retirees are also welcome to get their pensions from. Post office deliveries will last till May 25.
You can look the working hours of a specific postal service branch up on the official website or in the Russian Post mobile app.
