Invited experts and volunteers regularly host financial literacy classes at the Social Fund's Communication Centers for Seniors. Their audiences are particularly interested in fraud protection.
Lecturers explain how to secure access to their personal data, the personal account on the Gosuslugi Portal, and money on their bank accounts. Over 1,000 such classes were hosted by communication centers in January–March, attended by 11,500 people of retirement and pre-retirement age.
Please note that all Social Fund's services are free of charge, regardless of where you receive them from: customer offices, multifunctional centers the Gosuslugi Portal online.
To reinforce the knowledge, visitors to the centers are offered leaflets and other visual materials about the common tricks used by scammers. That information helps individuals properly apply for social support measures independently and avoid falling for the schemes of criminals promising "assistance."
As a reminder, the Social Fund manages communication centers to help elderly people have a meaningful leisure and teach them how to use electronic services, as well as better navigate pension and social support issues. The financial education of silver-age citizens is one of the key activities of those centers.
