The Social Fund has transferred the first payouts to parents who applied for the new welfare benefit. By midday on June 2, the Fund's staff have approved funds for 31,000 children. As per the current regulations, 10 business days are allowed for a decision on an application, and another 5 days are allocated for the transfer of funds.
The approval and payment of benefits within such tight timeframes are made possible by the high level of digitization within the Fund's operations and the development of its service system. As Sergey Chirkov, Head of the Social Fund, previously noted, the Fund now provides most services faster than the required deadlines: within 4.5 days on average.
The Social Fund began accepting applications for the new family payout on June 1. Parents can apply for the benefit via the Gosuslugi Portal, the Fund's customer offices and multifunctional centers. Only an application is needed in most cases; the Social Fund will collect and verify the rest of the information on its own.
