Almost a million of healthcare workers receive a special welfare benefit

The payout is available to healthcare professionals in primary care, central district, district, and area hospitals, as well as employees of ER stations and departments. Its amount depends on the professional category and the type of organization.

Since the beginning of the year and up to June, the Social Fund has provided the payout to 966,000 healthcare workers, paying RUB 68.4 billion in total. The Fund acts as the benefit operator and automatically grants it without any documents or applications submitted. The assignment is based on data from healthcare institutions.

At the end of each month, they compile an electronic registry of employees entitled to receive the payouts and transfer it to the Social Fund. Along with employee details, the registry also specifies the assigned benefit amount and the data used to calculate it.

The healthcare organization shall be part of the state or municipal healthcare systems and participate in the basic or local compulsory medical insurance programs in order to receive the payout.
