Switching childbirth certificates to the electronic form has not only simplified their use but enabled better analysis of childbirth data. Based on the information from childbirth certificates, we can, in particular, to determine the average age at which women give birth and to identify regions with the youngest or, conversely, the oldest mothers. The certificate data also gives insights into the height and weight of newborns, the birth of twins or triplets in families and other relevant aspects.
