Elderly Russians made 770,000 visits to Social Fund's communication centers

Communication Centers for Seniors set up by the Social Fund of Russia, have hosted 88,000 events for people of advanced age since the year has begun. Guests of the centers visited those activities 770,000 times in total by August.

Communication centers aim to organize meaningful leisure for the older generation and help people learn to use electronic services, as well as better navigate pension and social support issues. They give computer and financial literacy lessons, provide fraud protection and personal finance management advice,

as well as hold guided tours, creative workshops, literary evenings and other activities to make seniors' lives exciting and eventful. On top of that, the Social Fund's facilities take part in volunteer drives to support servicemen taking part in the special military operation.

The communication center initiative falls under the Family national project and its federal project, Elderly Generation.
