Social Fund gives up 260,000 square meters of leased space over three years

The Social Fund optimizes the territorial infrastructure of its branches on an annual basis, Sergey Chirkov, Chairman of the Social Fund, has been quoted as saying in an interview to TASS News Agency.

"We are working on optimizing our property portfolio. As a rule, the buildings are state-owned, although there are some premises taken on lease. Over the past three years, the Fund has given up more than 260,000 square meters of space, which resulted in significant budget savings," stated Mr. Chirkov.

According to the Head of the Social Fund, the efforts made have led to a substantial decrease in the share of leased space. While leased premises previously accounted for over 20% of the space used for offices, that figure has now dropped to 5%.

"We will work it through to the end: by early 2027, there should be no leased space at all. This is crucial in terms of cost optimization," stressed Sergey Chirkov.
