Consistent with the Russian Pension Fund’s draft budget for 2018 and the planning period of 2019 and 2020, the PFR expenditures on paying pensions to Russian citizens will grow by 279 billion rubles to 7.15 trillion rubles in 2018. The expenditures on paying social benefits will go up 11.8 billion rubles to 981 billion rubles.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed the Federal Law “On the Execution of the Russian Pension Fund’s Budget 2016”. The law was adopted by the State Duma on September 27, 2017, and approved by the Federation Council on October 10, 2017.

The number of Russians whose pensions are assigned online has been on the rise: a total of 1.036 million Russians had their pensions assigned via the personal account section on the Russian Pension Fund’s website in the first nine months of 2017.

The PFR Board had a meeting chaired by Russian Pension Fund head Anton Drozdov in Moscow today to sum up results of the Fund’s activity in the first half of 2017 and set tasks for the second half of the year. State Secretary and Deputy Labor and Social Protection Minister Andrei Pudov, members of the PFR Board, and heads of all PFR regional offices participated in the meeting by videoconferencing means.

A modern nursing home for the elderly and people with disabilities opened in Vyazniki, Vladimir region, today. The home is part of the Vladimir region’s social program; the project was funded by the regional budget and the Russian Pension Fund. The Vladimir regional administration decided to name the institution after Russian human rights activist Elizaveta Glinka, commonly known as Dr. Liza.

The Russian Pension Fund has set up a public council, PFR’s permanent collegial advisory body tasked with exercising civil control over the Fund activity and proposing improvements to legislative and other Russian normative legal acts in the areas under the PFR jurisdiction.

The Russian Pension Fund opened a learning website, Telling Schoolchildren about Pension, by the new school year. The captivating visual website tells schoolchildren how the Russian pension system works and how to start forming one’s pension correctly.

The Fund head informed the prime minister of the ongoing payment of pensions and maternity capital. They also conferred on the Fund’s interaction with the Federal Tax Service, and the network of multifunctional centers providing public services, as well as the provision of public services online.

The Russian Pension Fund has been developing the network of public services, including online client services, which do not require a visit to PFR offices.

Almost 5 million Russian families have improved their living conditions using maternity capital over the program’s period.
