The new benefit for children of families with low income, ordered by the president, has been assigned to parents of 2.8 million children aged from eight to 17. The families have received over 50 billion rubles in total.

From June 1, the Pension Fund will increase three monthly benefits to families owing to a larger subsistence minimum. These include benefits for children aged from eight to 17 in full and single parent families with low income, and benefits for pregnant women.

The online booking option is available owing to integration of the Russian Railways system and the Federal Register of Disabled Persons operated by the Pension Fund. The register gives constant access to information about disabled persons to the transport company and makes it unnecessary to confirm disability with documents.
The proactive assignment of insurance and social disability pensions began this year. Nowadays, they are assigned on the basis of information from the Federal Register of Disabled Persons without the provision of additional documents. Some 83,000 disabled persons have received payments in the proactive format since January.
An online seminar for teachers and organizers of Internet ABC, a joint program of the Russian Pension Fund and the Rostelecom company aimed at computer training of pensioners, took place in 55 regions of Russia today. More than 1,500 applications for attending the seminar were filed.
