The Russian Pension Fund has drafted the Federal Law on the PFR Budget in 2019 and the Planning Period of 2020 and 2021.
More than 520,000 people have downloaded the mobile application of the Russian Pension Fund that gives access to key online services available on the PFR website. The application connects users to information about their personal account in the Pension Fund, assigned pensions and social benefits, and insurance contributions paid by employers; it can also be used to make an appointment or file a request for issuing necessary documents.
The Federal Consulting Center of the Russian Pension Fund gave about 400,000 consultations to citizens over the phone in the first half of 2018 on the subject of pensions, social benefits, maternity capital, government co-funding of pension savings, etc. Meanwhile, operators processed more than 140,000 applications filed via the online consulting service on the PFR website.
The number of people connected to the personal account section on the Russian Pension Fund’s website is growing year after year; it is being used to receive public services online.
The Russian Pension Fund issued 328,300 maternity capital certificates and granted 382,000 requests for spending a total of 137.2 billion rubles in the first six months of 2018.
The State Duma has adopted in the first reading the government bill raising the retirement age. The key objective of the bill is to accelerate the growth of pensions of non-working pensioners and retain insurance principles of the Russian pension system.
The Public Council of the Russian Pension Fund held a meeting in Moscow on July 17. Parameters of the fund’s budget in 2019 and the planned period until 2021 topped the agenda.
Two new services have been launched in the personal account section of the Pension Fund’s website: they regard the assignment of professional pension benefits to former civil aviation and coal industry employees, and additional benefits for outstanding merits and achievements. It is now possible to apply for such Pension Fund benefits online, by using the personal account section on the PFR website.
Sergey Chirkov, former head of the Pension Assignment and Payment Department, has taken the office of the PFR Board Deputy Chairman consistent with the order by the Russian Labor and Social Protection Ministry.
Natalia Petrova, formerly Deputy Chairperson of the PFR Board, has taken the office of the PFR Board First Deputy Chairperson consistent with the order by the Russian Labor and Social Protection Ministry.
