Social benefits increase by 4.3% on Feb 1
A number of social benefits assigned by the Russian Pension Fund grew on February 1. The monthly benefit, which is received by 15.2 million federal benefit holders, among them disabled persons, war veterans, people exposed to radiation, Heroes of the Soviet Union and Russia, Heroes of Socialist Labor, and some other categories of citizens, increased by 4.3%. The indexation was based on the 2018 inflation rates. The PFR budget assigned 459 billion rubles for paying all types of monthly benefits with due account of their indexation.
Citizens step up use of personal accounts for transferring pension savings
The Russian Pension Fund has finalized the acceptance of applications for transferring pension funds in 2018. A total of 1,956,200 applications were filed last year. Their number reduced by 66% year-on-year.
Pensions of most rural pensioners grow by increased fixed-rate payment
The Russian Pension Fund has finalized the adjustment of pensions of most rural pensioners with due account of the amendments that took effect in the beginning of this year. Pensions of over 803,000 non-working rural pensioners were raised as a result.
Insurance pensions of non-working pensioners up 7.05% since Jan 1
Insurance pensions of non-working pensioners were raised 7.05% on January 1, 2019, which was more than the forecasted inflation rates of 2018. The increased fixed-rate payment amounted to 5,334.2 rubles per month, and the value of a pension point reached 87.24 rubles.

PFR Board holds expanded meeting in Moscow
The Russian Pension Fund Board held an expanded meeting in Moscow today. The meeting involved Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova, Russian Labor and Social Protection Minister Maxim Topilin, PFR Board Chairman Anton Drozdov, representatives of the Russian Federal Assembly and the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, managers of PFR offices from all constituent territories of Russia, and heads of structural units of the PFR Executive Directorate.
PFR mobile application to offer digital analogue of pension certificate
The Pension Fund stopped issuing pension certificates several years ago after the PFR information system reached a new level and enabled the Fund to rapidly provide citizens and the authorities with full information via the system of electronic interagency interaction.
